What we witnessed on the road to deliver aid was heartbreaking. Homes destroyed, families displaced, entire communities struggling to rebuild. Yet even in the midst of crisis, hope remains. We passed scenes of unimaginable destruction, but we kept moving because every care package meant hope waiting at the other end. This is why we show up. This is why we cannot stop. The mission continues.

The destruction you’re seeing isn’t a moment. Unfortunately this is their daily reality with nowhere to turn. Families are waking up to collapsed roofs, flooded homes, and empty cupboards. We made major progress on Carmelita’s roof and tonight will be a little safer for her, but her home still needs additional repairs. Today’s work brought immediate relief, yet this is only the beginning. There is still more to fix, and we are committed to seeing it through. We will keep showing up.
